Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been honoured by the Ghanaian government in recognition of India's longstanding support and growing contributions to Ghana's development.

The state award, presented during a brief ceremony in Accra on Wednesday, July 2, underscores the country's appreciation for India's consistent partnership over the years.

President John Dramani Mahama used the event not only to celebrate diplomatic ties but also to reinforce Ghana's vision for enhanced cooperation with India.

Addressing the media during a joint press conference at Jubilee House, President Mahama stressed the need for a renewed bilateral agenda anchored in key sectors. "We agreed on the urgency of deepening our collaboration in areas of shared strategic interest, particularly in agriculture, agribusiness and renewable energy, digital innovation, health and youth empowerment," he said.
