Nine individuals, including one woman, have been remanded by an Accra Circuit Court for their alleged involvement in the recent tribal clashes at Nkwanta in the Oti Region.

The accused persons, Evans Mawugbe, Donkor Ebenezer, Solomon Amenu, Robert Dzanka, Kenyenso Senyo, Edwin Yeboah, Yudah Adule, Keteke Joshua, and Grace Ordzi were charged with conspiracy to commit a crime, causing harm, rioting, and rioting with weapons.

The nine did not enter pleas, and presiding Judge Isaac Addo ordered that they be held in custody until the next hearing on July 21, 2025.

Assistant Superintendent of Police Seth Frimpong, representing the prosecution, stated that investigations into the case are ongoing.
