Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has arrived in Ghana for a high-level diplomatic engagement, marking the first official visit by an Indian Prime Minister in 30 years.

Speaking at a press conference in Accra on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, , announced that the visit would include bilateral talks, the signing of multiple cooperation agreements, and a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) covering a wide range of sectors. "The talks, as has been agreed, will focus on agriculture, health, defence cooperation, and the establishment of a joint commission.
