The Ghana Police Service has passed out 545 recruits, comprising 298 females and 247 males, at the Ashanti Regional Police Training School in Kumasi.

Speaking at the passing-out ceremony on Friday, July 4, the Director-General of Services of the Ghana Police Service, Dr.

Ernest Kwabena Owusu, emphasised the crucial role the police will play in the implementation of the government's 24-hour economy policy.

He highlighted the importance of the newly trained officers in ensuring security as the country transitions into a round-the-clock economic system and mentioned that a 24-hour security unit has been created for such purpose.
