A legal practitioner and member of the (NDC) communications team, Hamza Sayibu Suhuyini, has defended President John Dramani Mahama's suspension of Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo.
Suhuyini insists that the action was constitutionally grounded and in line with principles of good governance.
Speaking on TV3's "New Day" on Tuesday, July 1, Suhuyini dismissed claims that the suspension sets a bad precedent, arguing that Article 146 of the 1992 Constitution provides a clear legal pathway for the suspension of judicial officials, particularly the Chief Justice.
