MTN Ghana has issued an apology to customers following a major technical issue that disrupted data bundle purchases on Monday, July 1, 2025.

The glitch affected both standard bundle purchases and the new data volume offer, which promised a 15% bonus on data from the same date.

In a statement shared via Facebook, the telecom giant explained that the error occurred during the implementation of the bonus offer and has left many users temporarily unable to buy data. "We recognize the importance of staying connected and sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this may cause," MTN stated. "Our technical teams are working with urgency to resolve the issue and restore services as soon as possible."
