Nine students of Anum Senior High School in the Asuogyaman District of the Eastern Region have tested positive for the H1N1 influenza virus (Swine Flu), following laboratory tests conducted on 25 samples collected from the school.
In a related development, 44 students of Boso Senior High School have also shown symptoms of the virus.
Samples have been collected from the affected students and submitted to the Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research for confirmation.
While awaiting the results, all 44 suspected cases have been isolated as a precaution.
