Albert Kwabena Dwumfuor has been re-elected as President of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA).

According to a report by citinewsroom.com, the elections, which took place on Monday, June 30, 2025, saw him secure a commanding victory with 445 votes (64.49%), overcoming his opponent Charles Yao Mawusi, who garnered 245 votes (35.51%).

More than 800 GJA members were accredited to vote in regional centres across the country They were to choose not only the president but also five other national executive officers and numerous regional representatives.

In addition to the presidency, key national positions were filled: Vice President: Rebecca Ekpe of GBC, formerly the Public Affairs Officer, defeated Mary Mensah of the Graphic Communications Group.
