The Spokesperson of the Movement for Change, Andrew Appiah-Danquah, has said that the ongoing process to consider the possible removal of Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo should not be reduced to partisan politics or viewed as a personal attack on the Chief Justice.

Speaking on The Big Issue on Channel One TV on Saturday, June 28, he emphasised that the matter is far bigger than individuals or party affiliations, stressing that what is truly on trial is Ghana's commitment to principle and constitutional values. "In my opinion, it is not the CJ who is on trial here.

Indeed, this issue should not be handled in the interest of the nation as a simple NPP, NDC issue.

Because what is on trial here really is principle," he stated.
