Hamza Suhuyini, a member of the Communications Team of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has launched a scathing attack on Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo, accusing her of violating the 1992 Constitution and defying judicial advice.

Speaking on The Big Issue on Channel One TV on Saturday, June 28, 2025, Suhuyini described the Chief Justice's recent press briefing as a direct assault on Ghana's constitutional order and a betrayal of the judiciary's integrity. "This is a woman who has declared war not just on the executive, but on our Constitution and also her colleagues on the bench.

It is clear to all of us.

And this cannot go lightly," Suhuyini said.
