The Ranking Member of Parliament's Health Committee, Dr.

Nana Ayew Afriyie, has appealed to the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association (GRNMA) to exercise patience following the postponement of a crucial meeting initially scheduled for June 26, 2025.

The meeting - intended to address unresolved issues regarding the implementation of revised conditions of service for nurses and midwives - was rescheduled to July 10, a move that drew sharp criticism from the GRNMA, who expressed disappointment over the delay and lack of early communication.

Addressing the concerns on Citi Eyewitness News on Thursday June 26, Dr Afriyie reiterated that the postponement was due to the absence of key stakeholders, including the Minister for Health and the Minister for Finance, both of whom are currently out of the country on official assignments. "Given that these two ministers - Finance and Health - are not in town, Minister of Health is in Brussels, I am told.
