The Ghana Education Service (GES) has stated that in an effort to address concerns of delayed payments to newly posted teachers, provisions have been made through the Ministry of Finance for the payment of their allowances in the 2025 budget.

In a press release dated Tuesday, June 24, 2025, the Public Relations Officer of GES, Daniel Fenyi, acknowledged the concerns raised by the aggrieved teachers and stated that efforts are underway to ensure the release of funds to facilitate their payments. "We are pleased to confirm that the Ministry of Finance has made a budgetary provision for these teachers and others in the 2025 National Budget.

We are optimistic that the necessary funds will be released soon to facilitate these payments," portions of the statement read.

The state institution further indicated that it has established a committee comprising five representatives from the affected teacher groups, who will collaborate with the GES to expedite the resolution process and ensure that all concerns are thoroughly addressed. "To fast-track the resolution process, a technical committee has been formed, including five representatives from the affected teachers.
