Asokwa Municipal Chief Executive Amoh Kamel has led a vigorous clean-up exercise ahead of the much-anticipated visit of Eswatini's King Mswati III to the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi.
In a video that has since gone viral on social media, the MCE is seen joining a group to sweep streets, remove garbage, and clear overgrown weeds in parts of Asokwa.
The exercise is part of efforts to give the municipality a facelift before the monarch's arrival in Kumasi.
King Mswati III is expected in Ghana from Tuesday, June 24 to Saturday, June 28, 2025.
