The Minister of State in charge of Government Communications, , has disclosed that cancelling satellite television subscriptions at the Jubilee House has saved the state GH¢120,000 every month.
The Member of Parliament for Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese made this known during an interview on GTV, and monitored by GhanaWeb on June 20, 2025. "When we came to the Jubilee House, there were subscriptions to satellite televisions, in addition to the local channels that we watch.
When we took stock of how much it cost to pay for the subscription, we noticed that in a month, we spent GH¢120,000 just paying for satellite television channels.
President Mahama has cancelled all of that, and you know what GH¢120,000 can do," he remarked.
