Ghana's Minister for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has assured the public that the government has not received any formal communication from the United States regarding reports that Ghana could be added to a proposed U.S.
travel ban list.
His assurance comes in response to a June 14, 2025, statement by U.S.
President Donald Trump, in which he revealed plans to expand travel restrictions to citizens from 36 additional countries, including Ghana.
