The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Kodua Frimpong, has disclosed that the party leadership is actively engaging in behind-the-scenes interventions to manage tensions among presidential aspirants ahead of the January 2026 primaries.
His remarks come amid growing concerns over intra-party squabbles and public jabs between rival camps.
In an interview with Channel One TV on Wednesday, 18 June, Mr Kodua addressed criticism that the party hierarchy was failing to rein in presidential hopefuls who have publicly criticised each other.
He emphasised that the lack of public censure should not be mistaken for inaction on the part of the leadership. "That's why we continue to caution personalities in the party.
