The case docket on eleven (11) military personnel suspected to be linked to the alleged assault of three civilians in Danyame, a suburb of Kumasi, has been forwarded to the Attorney General's office in the Ashanti Region for review.
This development follows a court hearing on June 17, 2025, where the prosecutor raised concerns about delays in bringing the accused to court.
According to a report by citinewsroom.com on June 17, 2025, three civilians- Kwame Adu, also known as Ogee; Kwabena Sarfo; and Christian Obiri Yeboah, popularly known as Kofi Yesu, were allegedly arrested by military personnel on accusations of stealing an iPhone on March 28, 2025.
The victims were reportedly apprehended by uniformed military personnel and taken to the 4th Infantry Battalion (4BN) barracks in Kumasi, where they were allegedly subjected to brutal assaults.
