The United States Embassy in Ghana has cautioned Ghanaians against applying for visas through middle men, commonly known as 'connection men'.
In a post shared on social media on June 17, 2025, the embassy said that there is no need for Ghanaians to apply for visas through 'connection men' because it does not guarantee visa approval.
It urged Ghanaians to apply for their visas directly, adding that applying for visas directly will not attract an additional cost as in the case of using middlemen. "We wish to emphasise that you do not need the services of a fixer or visa consultant to apply for or get a US visa! "This can be done directly through our official website at no extra cost.
It is important to note that no fixer or consultant can guarantee a visa.
