The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the (NPP) has referred a set of proposed constitutional amendments to the party's National Council for further scrutiny and deliberation.
According to a report by citinewsroom.com, the NEC will review the proposals and determine which ones to forward to the National Council for final approval.
The report noted that some of the issues under consideration include whether the appointment of party executives should be formally incorporated into the party's structure, and whether the party's presidential candidate should be elected before other executive officers.
The meeting was chaired by Danquah Smith Buttey, the First Vice Chairperson of the party, in the absence of the National Chairman, Stephen Ayensu Ntim, who is currently on medical leave.
