The National Executive Director of the Ghana National Council of Private Schools (GNACOPS), Obengfo Nana Kwasi Gyetuah, has called for a thorough investigation into the conduct of the Headmaster of Big Six Educational Complex in Meduma, Ashanti Region.

This follows media reports suggesting that two candidates were barred from writing the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) due to unpaid school fees.

In an interview on Channel One Newsroom on Monday, June 16, Nana Gyetuah noted that once a candidate is registered with the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), they are entitled to take their exams without restriction.

According to him, schools cannot bar students from exams, but can instead petition WAEC to restrict students who haven't paid fees.
