The Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMet) has urged the public and residents of low-lying areas along the coastal regions of Ghana to be wary of possible floods as it projects more rains from late afternoon to evening on June 16, 2025.
According to a report on GMet's X Account on June 16, 2025, it stated that the southern Ghana, especially areas along the coast, is currently experiencing widespread low clouds. "What are flash floods?
Sudden floods that happen quickly after heavy rain, especially in low-lying or poorly drained areas.
Stay safe and avoid floodwaters, move to higher ground, unplug appliances," post stated.
