The Ghana Education Service (GES) has published a list of 25 newly approved private Senior High Schools (SHSs) now available for selection by Junior High School (JHS) students.
This announcement comes alongside an extension of the school selection deadline to Wednesday, 25th June 2025, allowing students more time to consider their options. "This extension ensures candidates have ample opportunity to make informed decisions," said Prince D.
Agyemang-Duah, Director of the Schools and Instructions Division, in an official statement. "We encourage students and parents to review the new additions carefully." In the notice signed by Mr.
Agyemang-Duah, the GES emphasized: "This extension will allow students and parents to carefully consider these new options before making their final selections." The newly approved private schools span across all regions, including notable institutions such as Gulf College Japan in the Greater Accra Region, Watkins Academy in the Volta Region, and Golden Gate SHS in the Western Region.
