Vice President Professor has stated that under her administration as Chairperson of the Police Council, she will thoroughly scrutinise cases of promotion delays, unfair treatments, and other concerns within the Ghana Police Service.
According to her, such cases will be addressed and reviewed to ensure proper actions are taken, adding that this will align with the government's resetting agenda.
Speaking at her swearing-in ceremony, officiated by President at the Jubilee House on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, Prof Opoku-Agyemang underscored the importance of the law enforcement agency in ensuring the country's security and safety.
She reaffirmed her commitment to fostering leadership that creates an enabling environment for the police to work efficiently, while providing the necessary support for the execution of their mandate. "To the brave men and women of our police service, you are the frontline of our national security and the face of justice in our communities.
