The Minister of Health, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, has assured the nation that the government is firmly in control of the recent resurgence of COVID-19 cases reported at the University of Ghana.
The Ghana Health Service (GHS), in a press release dated June 26, confirmed an uptick in COVID-19 cases confined to the university campus.
According to the GHS, all reported cases have so far been mild, with no hospital admissions.
The Service said it was working closely with university authorities and the Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research to contain the situation and assess ongoing response efforts.
