Former President has praised his successor, , for establishing the National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving.
In a recorded video message played at the maiden edition of the National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving, held at the forecourt of the State House on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, Akufo-Addo commended President Mahama for making the initiative a reality.
He emphasised that the National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving is a valuable initiative that deserves the support of every Ghanaian. "We all have to support this initiative.
It's clearly a worthwhile initiative… we have this one day where all of us come together to give thanks to the Almighty for the many, many, many blessings He has bestowed upon us.
