The Assembly Member for Alajo North Electoral Area, Ibrahim Halidu, has made a passionate pledge to support academic excellence among Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates in his community.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of a free extra classes programme he sponsors annually, Halidu announced that any student from the Alajo North Electoral Area who scores between aggregate 6 and 10 in the upcoming BECE will receive a brand-new laptop.
The gesture, according to Halidu, is aimed at motivating students to aim higher and to also equip them with digital tools that will support their future learning and development. "I believe in rewarding hard work and encouraging excellence.
Any student who attains between aggregate 6 and 10 in this year's BECE will be given a free laptop to support their academic journey into senior high school and beyond," he stated to loud applause from students present.
