The National Road Safety Authority (NRSA) has raised serious concerns over the alarming rise in road traffic accidents and fatalities in the country.
Speaking on Channel One TV's Breakfast Daily on Friday, June 6, NRSA Planning Manager for the Greater Accra Region, Felix Owusu, highlighted that the country recorded 1,011 road crash deaths between January and April 2025 alone.
He attributed the majority of these road accidents to carelessness, disregard for traffic regulations, and preventable human errors.
He also lamented that many Ghanaians treat road safety regulations lightly and often fail to take necessary precautions until tragedy strikes. "From January to April 2025, we have lost 1,011 people on our roads.
