Interpol has listed Ken Ofori-Atta, Ghana's former Finance Minister, as a wanted individual, intensifying an ongoing probe led by the country's Office of the Special Prosecutor.

The move comes after Ofori-Atta failed to appear for a scheduled interrogation on June 2, prompting authorities to re-issue a notice declaring him wanted.

Following this development, the Special Prosecutor's Office has initiated the process to secure an Interpol Red Notice, a formal request to law enforcement agencies worldwide to locate and provisionally arrest Ofori-Atta pending extradition to Ghana.

Ofori-Atta is under investigation for his alleged role in multiple high-profile financial and procurement scandals.
