Education Minister, Haruna Iddrisu, has charged the Governing Council of the Chartered Institute of Human Resource Management (CIHRM) to protect women from abuse in the workplace.

Addressing the newly inaugurated Chartered Institute of Human Resource Management (CIHRM) with the support of his deputy, Dr.

Clement Apaak, Mr Iddrisu bemoaned the reports of women who are subjected to all manner of abuse when they are seeking a job or even at some workplaces.

He therefore urged CIHRM to work assiduously in curbing such negative developments. "Too many young women are silently enduring harassment and exploitation at work. "We must end the era where women are taken advantage of in their search for decent employment due to desperation," the Minister for Education stated.
