The Super Falcons of Nigeria scored in injury time on Tuesday evening to brush aside South Africa with a 2-1 win in the semi-final of the 2024 CAF Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCO).

The victory has propelled the Super Falcons to the final of the tournament, where they will take on the winner of the other semi-final tie between Morocco and Ghana.

On the matchday today, Nigeria dominated the early parts of the game but failed to score, allowing the South Africans to grow into the game.

After a series of ding-dong affairs between the two teams, the Super Falcons had the chance to take the lead on the stroke of halftime when they were awarded a penalty kick.
