Chairman of the National Economic Dialogue Planning Committee, Dr.

Ishmael Yamson, has praised the recent recovery of the Ghanaian cedi as a sign of government commitment to economic transformation, urging sustained reforms to ensure long-term stability.

Speaking at the presentation of the committee's final report to President John Dramani Mahama on Wednesday, June 4, Dr.

Yamson said the cedi's rapid rebound against major currencies has surprised skeptics and demonstrated clear progress under the government's "Resetting Ghana" agenda. "The recent rapid recovery of the value of the cedi against major currencies has [surprised] many people who doubted the government's resolve to reset Ghana and its economy," he said.
