The Minister of Finance, Dr.

Cassiel Ato Forson, has announced that every district assembly will receive a minimum of GH₵25 million in 2025 as part of the government's plan to boost local development through the District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF).

Speaking on the floor of Parliament on Tuesday June 3, Dr Forson disclosed that approximately GH₵6.1 billion out of the GH₵7.57 billion allocated for the DACF will be disbursed directly to assemblies across the country. "Government is guaranteeing that approximately GH₵6.1 billion of the GH₵7.57 billion earmarked for the 2025 will be disbursed directly to local assemblies to spare local economic activities at the district level.

In view of that, every district assembly will receive a minimum of GH₵25 million this year," he stated.
