Minority Leader and Member of Parliament for Effutu Constituency, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, has launched a Care Foundation to provide a broader scope of health support for his constituents.
The new initiative is born out of years of impactful health interventions, particularly in the fight against Hepatitis B in the Effutu Municipality.
Over the past three years, more than 20,000 residents have been screened and vaccinated against Hepatitis B through the MP's efforts.
Additionally, 1,016 individuals who tested positive have been placed on free treatment, while about 50 newborns born to Hepatitis B positive mothers been supported.
