It has been exactly ten years since Ghana was shaken by one of its most painful national tragedies - the June 3rd disaster.   The evening of June 3, 2015, is etched in the memory of the nation, not only for the scale of destruction it brought but for the lives that were lost, the bodies that were scarred, and the minds that continue to carry the trauma. That night, a torrential downpour left many parts of Accra submerged.

As floodwaters rose around the Kwame Nkrumah Interchange, dozens sought shelter at a nearby GOIL fuel station.

But what should have been a refuge turned into a firetrap.

A fuel leak, mixed with the floodwaters, ignited in a massive explosion that killed more than 150 people and left many others with life-altering injuries.
