The Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) has defended its handling of the case involving NPP Ashanti Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi.
EOCO's Ashanti Regional Director, Edward Cudjoe, says the bail conditions - GH¢50 million with two justified sureties - were set in line with the law. "We've followed the right procedures.
If Wontumi's team wants a variation, the courts are there," he stated.
Wontumi remains in custody after securing just one of the required sureties.
