Andy Appiah Kubi, counsel to the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, has joined party executives and family members in launching a search for him.
This follows reports that he was transferred to a hospital after being picked up and detained by operatives of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) on the evening of Tuesday, May 27, 2025.
In a video posted on the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), Lawyer Andy Appiah Kubi, along with some party executives and members of Wontumi's family, were seen actively searching for his whereabouts, moving from one hospital to another.
They initially visited the 37 Military Hospital, where a doctor informed them that the politician and businessman was not at the facility.
