The Asokwa Divisional Police Command in the Ashanti Region has announced the sudden death of General Corporal Samuel Okonegye who was stationed at the Trede Police Station.
According to an official situational report issued by the Trede District Command, the incident occurred on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at around 4:00 pm.
G/Cpl Okonegye had taken permission to visit his wife, who is eight months pregnant, at Breman Esikuma when the fatal accident happened.
While riding a motorbike along the Assin Nsuta stretch, he reportedly collided with a tipper truck bearing registration number AS 9475-19.
