Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Professor , returned to the country on Thursday, May 22, 2025, after recovering from a recent illness that kept her away from public duties for several weeks.
It would be recalled that on Sunday, March 30, 2025, the Spokesperson to the President and Minister of State in charge of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, announced that the Vice President was receiving treatment at the University of Ghana Medical Centre due to a sudden illness that occurred after work on Friday, March 28, 2025.
She subsequently took a medical leave and sought treatment abroad.
Following her return to the country, some notable personalities have welcomed her back.
