The (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Assin South in the 2024 general elections, Stephen Kofi Baidoo, has expressed gratitude to traditional leaders in the constituency for their support during the elections.

Baidoo, who was accompanied by party executives from both constituency and national levels, paid a courtesy call on the chiefs to officially thank them for their role in fostering peace and participation in the electoral process.

Speaking during the visit, Baidoo noted that although the party fell short of winning the parliamentary seat, its performance showed remarkable improvement compared to previous elections.

Citing electoral statistics, he revealed that the margin between the NDC and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) reduced significantly over the years from 19.19% in 2016 to 15.87% in 2020, and now 4% in the recent polls.
