The Minister of Defence, Dr.
Edward Omane Boamah, has disclosed that the country's presidential jet is currently grounded and unfit for use due to what he describes as years of neglect and poor maintenance under the previous New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration led by former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
Dr.
Boamah's disclosure follows criticism from Old Tafo Member of Parliament, Vincent Ekow Assafuah, who posted on Facebook a flight receipt suggesting that Vice President Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang chartered a private jet from Farnborough, UK, to Accra on May 22, 2025.
