The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has called on investors to direct more support toward Ghana's energy sector, highlighting its pivotal role in realising the country's 24-hour economy policy.
Speaking at a meeting with executives of Dream Power Africa, a solar energy company, on Wednesday, May 21, at the Manhyia Palace, the Asantehene underscored the importance of reliable electricity in driving national development. "The government is currently promoting the idea of a 24-hour economy.
For it to succeed, energy must be accessible, especially in rural areas where industries are beginning to grow.
Reliable electricity is the foundation for any meaningful development," he stated.
