Popular Ghanaian music executive and CEO of Lynx Group Limited, Richie Mensah, has opened up about why he chose not to pursue a leadership role in the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), despite earlier declaring his intention to contest for the Vice President position in 2019.  In an interview on Joy FM's Showbiz A-Z with Kwame Dadzie, Richie reflected on what led to his decision to step away from formal leadership within the union.

According to him, occupying a position of power simply doesn't align with who he is. "The truth is, let me be very honest.

I don't like politics.

I don't like power, position, I don't even like authority.
