The (NPP) has cautioned all members and prospective aspirants against engaging in internal campaign activities before the official nomination process opens.
In a press release dated May 14, 2025, and signed by the party's General Secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong, the party emphasised that until official nominations are opened, no individual is permitted to engage party structures in any form of campaigning. "The party leadership wishes to bring to the attention of all members and prospective aspirants at various levels that, until official nominations are duly opened, no individual is permitted to engage party executives or party structures in any form of campaigning or soliciting support for internal positions", it noted.
It further indicated the directive aligns with the party's commitment to fairness in its internal electoral processes. "This directive is in line with the Party's commitment to fairness in the administration of its internal electoral processes.
Premature engagements not only undermine the authority of the Party's organs but also risk disrupting the careful and strategic efforts currently underway to reposition the Party for victory in the 2028 general elections", it stated.
