The Ghana Union of Traders' Associations (GUTA) has urged traders to revise the prices of goods and services in response to the recent appreciation of the Ghanaian cedi against the US dollar.

In a statement signed by GUTA President, Dr.

Joseph Obeng, GUTA highlighted that the strengthening of the local currency offers an opportunity for traders to adjust their pricing to reflect this positive economic shift.

According to the association, such a gesture would not only promote fairness within the trading environment but also help ease the financial burden on consumers, many of whom continue to grapple with rising living costs. "The Ghana Union of Traders' Associations (GUTA) wishes to appeal to the trading community to adjust prices of goods and services to share the significant gains made by the appreciation of the cedi against the major trading currencies and bring some relief to the consuming public," the statement read.   Go beyond optics, demand asset declarations - Mary Addah to Mahama
