Ebi Bright has been officially confirmed as the mayor (Metropolitan Chief Executive) of the Tema Metropolitan Assembly, following a successful vote of approval by assembly members.
Out of 31 votes cast, 28 voted "Yes", while 3 voted "No", securing her confirmation as the 8th mayor and the first female to hold the position in the history of the Assembly.
The confirmation ceremony, held at the assembly hall, was attended by several dignitaries, including Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor, Member of Parliament for South Dayi in the Volta Region, who also serves as the Majority Chief Whip in Parliament.
The atmosphere was filled with jubilation as party members and supporters celebrated this milestone.
