Residents of the Jomoro Constituency in the Western Region have expressed sincere gratitude to President for appointing the Member of (MP) for the area, Dorcas Affo-Toffey, as Deputy Minister of Transport.
Speaking to GhanaWeb's Western Regional Correspondent Daniel Kaku at the forecourt of House immediately after her vetting, some chiefs and queen mothers who had come from Jomoro to support her thanked President Mahama for honouring their daughter with such a prestigious position.
They expressed optimism that Dorcas Affo-Toffey would work tirelessly to bring honour to their constituency. "We are happy, and we say may Almighty God bless President for honouring our MP with such a prestigious position.
We have confidence that our MP will deliver and will not disappoint us," they stated. "We liked the way our MP answered the questions posed to her during today's vetting; she demonstrated that she is ready to serve this country," they added.
