The Ghana Police Service has confirmed the safe return of Evelyn Serwaa Konadu and Anastasia Baidoo, the two women who were recently kidnapped in Nigeria through an online romance scam.
According to the Police, the victims were lured by unidentified individuals posing as romantic partners online, only to be abducted upon their arrival in Nigeria.
Their ordeal gained national attention after a distressing video of them in captivity went viral, sparking widespread public concern and outrage.
Following this, the Ghana Police Service, in collaboration with the National Signals Bureau (NSB) and the Nigerian Police Force, launched a coordinated cross-border rescue operation.
