John Darko, Member of Parliament for Suame and legal counsel to the Minority in Parliament, says there is no justifiable basis for the removal of Chief Justice, Gertrude Torkornoo if the committee set up to probe the petition against her acts fairly.
Speaking on The Point of View on Channel One TV on Monday, May 5, Mr.
Darko stressed that the facts do not support the Chief Justice's removal and called for fairness in the process. "If the five-member committee looks at the petition fairly, there is no reason that she should go," he stated.
The embattled Chief Justice is facing a petition demanding her removal from office over alleged misconduct.
