The Ghana Police Service has formally requested the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, to release Minority Leader, Alexander Afenyo-Markin to aid in ongoing investigations.
This follows the emergence of video footage allegedly showing the Minority Leader assaulting a police officer during an NPP-led demonstration against the suspension and imminent removal of the Chief Justice.
