Key figures of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), including Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin and National Organiser Henry Nana Boakye, joined a major protest in Accra on Monday, May 5, 2025, demanding an end to the process seeking the removal of Chief Justice Gertrude Torkonoo.

The demonstration, dubbed "Save the Judiciary," was organised by an NPP-led coalition and began at the Supreme Court.

Protesters are demanding a revocation of the suspension by the President.

Among other notable party members at the protest were National Youth Organiser Salam Mustapha and Greater Accra Regional Chairman Divine Otoo Agorhom.
